Argentis Financial Management provides independent financial advice to both companies and individuals.
We were approached at the end of 2009 to revive the firm's corporate branding and identity, a project that included reviewing the firm's name, the logo, the use of imagery and tone of voice.
The name Argentis, derived from the Latin/Spanish for silver, was to be retained. Given the strength of this name we elected to propose a logotype, adjusting the letter forms to give the word a distinctive personality. This was achieved but making ligatures between certain letters, adjusting the intercharacter spacing, creating the distinctive triangular dot on the i, and opening the loop on the g.
Silver was chosen for the main font colour, but examining the house colours used by hundreds of Argentis' competitors we chose an unusual grey-green. The colour adds to the sense of the firm as progressive and modern, but also has an element of the conservative.
The logo was applied to the design of business stationery, a brochure and the company website which is managed in-house using the Advanced Bubble CMS.
